Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Clinical Coordinator Intake will:

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and intake assessments, along with other clinical evaluations, both in-office and within the community.
  • Engage in communication and consultation with various agencies regarding program-related matters.
  • Assess clinical needs and propose recommendations for support services and treatment options.
  • Execute professional therapeutic crisis interventions and may provide short-term evidence-based therapy modalities.
  • Participate in and lead clinical team meetings focused on high-risk cases.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and provide liaison, consultation, and mental health education services to community agencies and resource persons.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.

Licensure:

  • Michigan Master's Level Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited License as a Masters Level Social Worker (LLMSW).
  • Michigan Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Limited License as a Counselor (LLC).

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges, severe emotional disturbances, or developmental disabilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and current automobile insurance.
  • Ability to physically perform job-related tasks.
  • Must maintain valid licensure and obtain MDHHS qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with both adults and children with mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in a publicly funded Michigan Community Mental Health agency.
  • Experience with individuals facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, with preference for candidates currently credentialed or eligible for credentialing through Michigan Certified Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP).

Note: Veterans must submit Form DD214 to determine eligibility for Veterans' Preference. Interested applicants must clearly demonstrate they meet the minimum qualifications.
