Position Overview

The Medical Center Representative plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our healthcare facility. This full-time position involves a variety of responsibilities including clerical duties, patient registration, billing, and customer service. The representative is tasked with managing sensitive medical, financial, and personal information on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries.
  • Manage daily scheduling and ensure the smooth flow of patient arrivals and departures.
  • Process patient registrations and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee billing and collection functions, ensuring compliance with financial protocols.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Practice Manager.

Essential Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Two to three years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is essential.
  • Familiarity with Third Party Payers, ICD-10, and CPT Coding is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills; experience with Electronic Medical Records, particularly EPIC, is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and adaptability to various settings.
