The Medical Center Representative plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our healthcare facility. The representative is tasked with managing sensitive medical, financial, and personal information on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries.
- Manage daily scheduling and ensure the smooth flow of patient arrivals and departures.
- Process patient registrations and maintain accurate records.
- Oversee billing and collection functions, ensuring compliance with financial protocols.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Practice Manager.
Essential Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Two to three years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with Third Party Payers, ICD-10, and CPT Coding is advantageous.
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills; experience with Electronic Medical Records, particularly EPIC, is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills and adaptability to various settings.
