Insurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Authorization Specialist to join our team at Bon Secours. This role will work closely with the Office Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator, and Physicians to handle daily operations, including scheduling patients, managing referrals, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Answer phone calls in a polite and timely manner, register patients, and collect co-pays
- Manage patient files, medical records, and schedules to maximize efficiency
- Assist in invoicing and billing processes, including scanning and emailing invoices to accounts payable
- Prepare and submit insurance forms, obtain authorizations, and ensure accurate payment posting and reconciliation
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines to protect patient data
- High School Degree or GED
- One year of experience in a clinic or doctor's office, or one year in a secretarial position
- Basic computer skills, 40 WPM typing skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
