IT Support Specialist

Job Summary:
NexThreat is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role covers planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information processing, with experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in the use of software and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer-reported incidents
Plan and analyze work processes
Research and report trends and patterns of problems
Develop training materials and perform computing/information system training sessions
Develop and maintain problem tracking databases
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software
Perform backup and recovery operations
Consult with users to identify needs and requirements
Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses
Prepare business cases
Ensure the rigorous application of information security/Cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices
Requirements:
Six (6) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing
Three (3) years of specialized experience in Information Processing, involving a range of hardware/software solutions
Two (2) years of concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in the use of software and hardware
Computing Environment: From the most current DLA-approved Computing Environment Certification List
IA Level: IAT II or IAT III
8570.01-M Baseline Certification to include application, data, database, utility or software tools administration which require "Privileged" access
