Job Overview

Mead Lumber Company Inc is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, adhering to company standards.
  • Mix paint to customer specification, ensuring precise color matching.
  • Receive, stock, and price merchandise according to company standards, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and efficient manner, providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively assist customers, driving sales and revenue growth.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with Point of Sale systems.
  • Ability to stand for 10+ hours a day, with a strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lift 50lbs, with a strong physical presence and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and punctual, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
