At St. John's Community Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician Consultant to join our team.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Clinical Counseling and have a minimum of three years' experience as a social worker/marriage and family therapist in a community mental health environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the development of effective behavioral health services.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards.
About the RoleAs a Behavioral Health Clinician Consultant, you will work closely with members of the medical and behavioral health team to manage psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases, apply behavioral principles to address lifestyle and health risk issues, and provide consultation in the treatment of mental disorders and psychosocial issues.
Key responsibilities include promoting and integrating behavioral health services, maintaining protocols and procedures for integrated behavioral health activities, assisting primary care providers in recognizing, treating, and managing mental health and psychosocial issues, conducting client intakes, and providing brief, focused interventions.
You will also assist in detecting 'at-risk' clients, developing plans to prevent worsening of their condition, monitoring and coordinating the delivery of health services, documenting clients' progress, and keeping primary care providers informed of clients' needs and progress.
We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills, ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments, knowledge of evidence-based behavioral assessments and interventions, and proficiency in identifying and treating mental disorders.
A bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant certifications (e.g., LCSW, LMFT) are preferred but not required.
Requirements- Masters degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Clinical Counseling
- Minimum 3 years' experience as social worker/marriage and family therapist in community mental health environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in managed care setting
