Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective security solutions to protect our company's systems and data. This role requires a strong technical background in network and systems security, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security solutions to protect company systems and data
  • Create test plans to evaluate security issues and identify vulnerabilities
  • Work with the Infrastructure Team to communicate security information, improve security controls, and remediate risk issues
  • Maintain updated security plans and documentation of historical security events
  • Interpret security policies, regulations, and standards into security control requirements
  • Perform IT security risk assessments and provide documented results and recommendations
  • Develop and conduct IT security education and awareness training
  • Measure and report security metrics to management and the IT Steering Committee
  • Respond to security incidents and alerts
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on IT security-related products and policies
  • Develop automation scripts and workflows to track and respond to incidents
  • Assist in proof-of-concept solutions, including the evaluation, deployment, and management of new technologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Systems, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of IT security engineering experience in an advanced technical environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Expert experience in security practices and implementation of policies
  • 3 years of experience with a scripting language (PowerShell or other automation language)
  • Ability to manage projects and priorities with careful time management and little supervision
  • Understanding of and experience with Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and Domain architecture
  • Experience with hypervisors, converged infrastructure, and hybrid-cloud design
  • Project management experience, CRISC, CCNP, or other relevant certifications preferred
