Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our enterprise network and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective security solutions to protect our company's systems and data
  • Create and execute test plans to evaluate the security of our network and systems infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to communicate security information, improve security controls, and remediate risk issues
  • Maintain up-to-date security plans and documentation of historical security events
  • Interpret security policies, regulations, and standards into security control requirements and work with management to create security policies
  • Perform IT security risk assessments, product and application security evaluations, and provide documented results and recommendations to IT Management
  • Develop and conduct IT security education and awareness training to improve organizational security posture
  • Measure and report security metrics to IT Management and the IT Steering Committee
  • Respond to security incidents and act as a Subject Matter Expert on all IT security-related products and policies
  • Develop automation scripts and workflows to track and respond to incidents
  • Assist in proof-of-concept solutions, including the evaluation, deployment, and management of new technologies
  • Participate in weekly 1:1 and team meetings with Infrastructure and Operations Teams
  • Communicate the current status of all ongoing projects and any security-specific needs
  • Cross-train and mentor staff and company in awareness, security packages, and best practices
Requirements
  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Systems, or Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years of IT Security Engineering experience in an advanced technical environment, preferably within a large company
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and management
  • Expert experience in security practices and implementation of policies
  • 3 years of experience with a scripting language (PowerShell or other automation language)
  • Ability to manage projects and priorities with careful time management and little supervision
  • Understanding of and experience with Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory and Domain architecture, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, NPS, PKI, McAfee, Veeam, and WSUS
  • Experience with hypervisors, converged infrastructure, and hybrid-cloud design
  • Project Management experience, CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), or other relevant certifications preferred
