Hotel Front Desk Representative

Apart from providing top-notch customer service, our Guest Services Agent will work 1 day a week and must be available to cover call offs when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Registration and room assignment for guests
- Confirmation of phone and online reservations
- Responding to guest needs, requests, and complaints
- Paying guests
- Maintaining records of occupied rooms and guests
- Communicating pertinent guest information to designated departments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, front desk service, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with guests
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Tasks:
- Greet guests with a welcoming smile and friendly demeanor
- Perform all guest check-in and check-out procedures
- Obtaining or confirming guest information, assigning rooms, activating and distributing keys, etc.
- Collections for room charges and other fees
- Answering phones and directing calls to appropriate personnel
- Checking and sending emails
- Making and confirming reservations
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace at all times
- Informing guests of hotel amenities and offerings
- Being informed and up-to-date on all types of room accommodations and availability
- Communicating with housekeeping, maintenance, and staff as necessary
- Providing local information on restaurants, special sites, activities, etc.
- Resolving customer complaints and problems calmly and effectively
- Notifying management of any serious issues that cannot be resolved
- Taking and delivering messages for guests
- Maintaining a friendly, personable disposition
- Performing various clerical tasks as needed (sorting mail, paper filing, etc.)
Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000 per year. This estimate is based on the job requirements, industry standards, and cost of living in the Tucson area.
