Job Summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our production staff, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of manufacturing schedules, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Production Team: Direct and supervise the activities of production staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to meet production goals.
  • Manage Manufacturing Schedules: Oversee the planning and execution of manufacturing schedules, ensuring timely and efficient completion of production tasks.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with planning, purchasing, materials, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
  • Develop and Implement Training Programs: Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent professional/military experience.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience leading teams, developing people, or organizing tasks.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, and experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Experience as a team lead or leading project teams in an operational environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with lean manufacturing principles.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing for long periods, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching above shoulders. The employee must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
