At The Phoenix Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Addiction Support Specialist to join our team.

Job Overview

The Addiction Support Specialist will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals struggling with addiction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in their community.

Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Operations Supervisor and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all individuals on shift, maintaining a positive and professional rapport with the community.
  • Maintain accurate records of individual counts and participate in scheduled and non-scheduled counts.
  • Participate in pre/post shift debriefings and prepare written reports (Incident Reports, Statements, etc.) as required.
  • Assist with admission and discharge of individuals, investigating incidents and reporting findings to the Supervisor.
  • Conduct urine collection and testing, facility and individuals searches, and review changes to facility policies and procedures.
  • Transport individuals to and from work sites or outside appointments, confronting and disciplining individuals' behavior problems, and providing rewards for positive behaviors.
  • Observe medication, process individuals request forms and mail, and relay pertinent information up and down the chain of command.
  • Process and discharge individuals' property, maintain facility cleanliness, and ensure annual training requirements are met.
  • Record individual's behaviors, movement, and control, and oversee individuals' orientation class.
Requirements
  • Candidates must be able to grasp and apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other program ideologies and have a valid driver's license.
  • A minimum qualification requirement includes active CDCA Certification (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) and a high school diploma.
  • Skills required include organization, time management, technology skills, communication, and handling demanding situations.

This is a full-time position available 10a to 10p with a salary range of $43,000-$50,000 per year based on location and experience. All job requirements indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or ability as deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently.
