Job Title: Sr Interior Design Professional Sports Recreation Entertainment

The position will be a key member of the Globe Life Valuation team, responsible for developing and maintaining PolySystems models for GAAP, statutory, and tax reporting of all Globe Life companies. The successful candidate will work cooperatively with Life and Health Pricing, Experience Study, and Enablement team staff members, as well as closely with IT/Actuarial Programmers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain PolySystems models for GAAP, statutory, and tax reporting of all Globe Life companies.
  • Work cooperatively with Life and Health Pricing, Experience Study, and Enablement team staff members to code new products in PolySystems and implement annual assumption updates.
  • Work closely with IT/Actuarial Programmers to perform monthly/quarterly valuation/financial reporting tasks.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging regulatory developments, particularly with respect to LDTI, PBR, and IFRS.
  • Supervise an Actuarial Assistant.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated mathematical ability required.
  • Solid technical actuarial skills required, including valuation fundamentals and methods.
  • Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) skills required.
  • Experience with PolySystems.
  • Understanding of PC server-based data warehouses and data storage strategies for valuation and reporting. Database (SQL) and/or programming skills (VB) preferred.
  • Understanding of general ledger accounting methods and systems, and experience interacting with financial reporting accountants.
  • Valuation experience with selected products; traditional life, universal life, interest-sensitive life, fixed annuities, Medicare Supplement, and limited benefit health products.
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
  • Well-organized, with the ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to company goals and objectives.
  • The ability to work alongside others with differing backgrounds and competencies.
  • Ability to work on issues that are not discretely defined.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (A.S.A.) required.
  • Minimum three years experience. Working experience in a valuation role would be preferred.
