About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Managing Actuary to lead our Health Pricing team at Globe Life Inc. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of actuarial techniques, health pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health pricing strategies to ensure accurate and competitive pricing of health products.
  • Lead a team of actuaries in the development and maintenance of health pricing models, including lapse, morbidity, and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Executive Leadership, Marketing, Valuation, and Accounting, to ensure alignment and effective communication of health pricing strategies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of actuaries, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and success.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and regulatory developments in the health insurance industry, and apply this knowledge to inform health pricing strategies.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of actuarial experience, with a strong background in health pricing and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of actuarial techniques, including lapse, morbidity, and trend analysis.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a health insurance company or related industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of health pricing models and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with data visualization and statistical analysis tools.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
