Job Title: Banquet Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at Wischermann Partners. As a Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Banquet Department, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of banquet events, including set-up, serving, and cleanup
  • Hire, train, and coach banquet staff
  • Prepare schedules and payroll for banquet employees
  • Coordinate food and beverage requirements with the kitchen and other departments
  • Ensure accurate counts for plating and maintain up-to-date details on banquet functions
  • Respond to guests' requests and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Prepare banquet checks and obtain guest signatures
  • Attend weekly food and beverage meetings and BEO meetings
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with managers, employees, and other departments

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of food and beverage/hospitality leadership experience
  • Banquet or event experience required
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Able to utilize payroll systems and computer-based programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Long hours, including nights and weekends
  • Medium work, exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally
