WHAT YOU DO

Your day starts with meticulous planning and executing your agenda. You recruit and mentor your service staff, bartenders, and setup personnel to uphold the highest service standards, while ensuring that you monitor what you expect. Flexible and composed, you collaborate with the internal sales team and event planners to finalize event specifics and remain attentive to any modifications or urgent requests. During events, you represent the hotel with warmth, managing banquets with keen awareness of timing and discreet service. At other times, you take on a managerial role, ensuring seamless operations and providing your team with the necessary support and assistance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Verify all room arrangements prior to each event. Consult with the Chef to confirm food quantities and timing for service. Inspect all china, glassware, silverware, and linens required for the event. Communicate specific requirements for buffets and receptions to the staff. Assess inventory needs for forthcoming events.

Conduct pre-event meetings to guarantee that staff adhere to personal hygiene and appearance standards. Assign stations and partners for team members. Review banquet event orders thoroughly.

Execute an impeccable event alongside your team to ensure guests receive precisely what they requested.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

3-4 years of experience in banquet setup and service

Familiarity with BEO and banquet configurations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and walking with ease.

Must be able to stand for extended periods.
