Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Exceptional Needs Educator to work with students facing diverse learning, emotional, physical, and intellectual challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
  • Modify educational resources and teaching strategies to accommodate the unique requirements of students.
  • Collaborate with general education instructors, school staff, and families to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Conduct assessments and track student progress, adjusting educational plans as necessary.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to actively engage students and enhance their learning experience.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages student participation and independence.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student development and any challenges encountered.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest practices in special education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
  • Valid State Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
