Job Title: Special Education Teacher

At Soliant, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to students with special needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Create and implement personalized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Establish a Supportive Learning Environment: Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
  • Provide Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student, ensuring they receive the support they require to succeed.
  • Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues and Parents: Work closely with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Utilize Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment: Leverage various instructional techniques, materials, and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Address Social-Emotional Development and Behavior Management: Monitor and address students' social-emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Special Education: A master's degree in Special Education is preferred.
  • Valid Teaching Certificate or Credential: A valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education is required.
  • IEP Experience: Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
