Job Title: After-Hours Bilingual Case Manager

Friends of Youth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate After-Hours Bilingual Case Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Residential and Foster Care Services team, you will play a vital role in providing culturally appropriate case management services to unaccompanied adolescents in care.

Job Summary:

The After-Hours Case Manager will work closely with the Division of Unaccompanied Children Operations (DUCO) to oversee intake and transition processes, ensuring legal representation is secured when necessary. You will handle intake and exit paperwork, coordinate case planning and transportation, and facilitate translation services as needed. As a liaison between youth, their families, and their countries of origin, you will strive to maintain, establish, and nurture connections that support potential reunification efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain an assigned caseload of unaccompanied adolescents in foster care.
  2. Meet weekly with Case Management Supervisor to elevate questions, concerns, and progress towards youths goals and reunification progress.
  3. Plan for successful transition of youth, involving family, sponsors, community resources, and other supports.
  4. Respond to calls on an as-needed basis to provide information to the program team.
  5. Assist in the rotation of the emergency crisis phone and respond as needed.
  6. Minimize program vacancies by timely placement of appropriately screened clients.
Requirements:
  1. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  2. Bachelors Degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service fields.
  3. 3 years of progressive employment experience in the aforementioned fields is preferred.
  4. Child welfare, DUCO, and/or case management experience is strongly preferred.
