We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
Job SummaryThe Behavioral Health Specialist will provide patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient care standards and be able to record accurate data in the computer and flow sheet.
Key Responsibilities- Provide designated patient care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Record accurate data in the computer and flow sheet, including graphics, intake, and output.
- Obtain instruction and supervision as necessary when implementing nursing procedures or practices.
- Communicate and interact effectively with patients and their families based on sensitivity to the psychosocial needs of patients.
- Utilize equipment in the provision of patient care services and adhere to guidelines regarding use of cleaning products.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-6 months of related experience.
- TO within 90 days of hire.
- CPR/BLS within 30 days of hire.
