Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at PDQ Manufacturing, Inc. in De Pere. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing fabrication processes that vary in complexity, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate equipment in the Fabrication department, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on associated equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring quality output.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of established Standard Operating Procedures, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
- Communicate and coordinate part shortages with Team Leaders and Production Supervisors, ensuring seamless production flow.
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company standards.
- Focus on continuous improvements within the company, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
- Operate forklifts and/or aisle stackers to transport/relocate inventory or product, ensuring efficient material handling.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with applicable technical training or experience a plus for advanced assignments.
- Blueprint reading skills are a plus, with the ability to apply basic math skills, specifically with fractions and decimals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is essential, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Initiate action to prevent non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
- Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to normal office conditions and manufacturing facility environments. The employee will be required to stand for long periods, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
