Job Summary

This Pharmacy Technician II role provides advanced technical support to the Pharmacy Department at University of Utah Health. The successful candidate will assist pharmacists in delivering clinical pharmacy services, maintain stock levels, compound and prepare pharmaceuticals, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in advanced tasks associated with patient care, including IV therapy and chemotherapy preparation.
  • Manage supplies and maintain automated dispensing machines.
  • Problem-solve operational issues within the department and organization related to medication use.
  • Assist in education and training of staff and other trainees.
Requirements
  • 6 months experience as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician licensure in the State of Utah.
Working Conditions

This position involves light work that may exert up to 20 pounds and may consistently require light work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects.

This position involves standing for extended periods of time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
