Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at University of Utah Health. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing advanced technical support to our pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of clinical pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in advanced tasks associated with patient care, including IV therapy, preparation of chemotherapy, and maintenance of automated dispensing machines.
  • Effectively manage supplies of the department, ensuring that all necessary medications and equipment are available to support patient care.
  • Problem solve operational issues within the department and organization related to the medication use process, working collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to resolve issues and improve patient outcomes.
  • Assist in education and training of staff and other trainees, sharing your expertise and knowledge to support the development of our team members.
Requirements
  • 6 months experience as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician licensure in the State of Utah.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing for extended periods of time and handling heavy or bulky supply containers.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves light work that may exert up to 20 pounds and may consistently require light work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. This position involves standing for extended periods of time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
