Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at University of Utah Health. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing advanced pharmacy services, including IV therapy, chemotherapy preparation, and automated dispensing machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in advanced tasks associated with patient care, including medication preparation and dispensing.
  • Effectively manage supplies of the department, ensuring that medications and equipment are readily available.
  • Problem-solve operational issues within the department and organization related to the medication use process.
  • Assist in education and training of staff and other trainees, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Requirements
  • 6 months experience as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician licensure in the State of Utah.
  • Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves light work that may exert up to 20 pounds and may consistently require light work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. This position involves standing for extended periods of time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
