Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Direct the daily operation of Freeman Fort Scott, ensuring that all hospital services and programs are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Strategic Planning: Position the hospital to meet community healthcare needs and drive strategic and financial success.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations are enforced to maintain quality physician practice, and that hospital bylaws are followed and updated annually.
  • Community Engagement: Provide leadership in the community regarding community needs and planning, and assist the CEO in ensuring accurate budgeting for operations, cash management, and capital.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience at a management level in a clinical setting, with knowledge of healthcare business operation functions from an administrative role.
  • Skills: Ability to provide leadership of physicians, directors, and staff, set the tone of the organization regarding employee relations and staff development, and motivate and empower directors and staff.
Working Conditions

This is a sedentary, office environment role with high stress, long irregular hours, and flexible work schedule to meet various demands of management within the system. Travel between facilities is routinely required.
