Key Responsibilities- Process new referrals and verify all necessary information
- Enter new referrals and updates patient information into corporate IS systems
- Verify referrals meet regulatory, payer, and safety requirements
- Create pharmacy packets and communicate with referral sources and patients
- Verify insurance and benefits for Medicare, Managed Care, and Private Fee for Service Plans
- Utilize correct payer and diagnoses codes
- Enter financial information, including benefits, deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance
- Request and communicate authorizations to payers and document in EHR
- Advise patients and referral sources on Medicare and Managed Care guidelines and reimbursement issues
- Perform ICD-10 coding of referrals
- Monitor and communicate referral source activity
- High School or Equivalent
- Preferred Experience: 1 year infusion related experience, 1 year insurance verification experience, 1 year pharmacy experience
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
