Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist PRN to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, positioning patients, and operating radiologic machines to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Position patients for radiologic examinations, ensuring correct anatomical posture and shielding.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, explaining procedures and removing articles that obstruct x-rays.
  • Operate stationary or portable radiologic machines, taking x-ray images of various body parts for physician diagnosis.
  • Develop, copy, and fix x-ray films, maintaining equipment and quarters.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic work, making clinical photographs of unusual cases, and identifying photographs.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring safety and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Keep records and files, making reports as needed, and performing other related duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
  • Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, or successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of email systems, such as Microsoft Outlook, for internal and external communication.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel for creating documents and data entry.
  • Knowledge of WebMD and Intergy systems for review and data entry.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, remaining calm under pressure, and multitasking while maintaining attention to detail. The ability to work individually or as part of a team, and to work overtime as required, is essential.
