About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Rights Investigator to join our team in the Office of Civil Rights. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about promoting equal opportunities and ensuring that all individuals have access to fair treatment.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting administrative investigations into alleged violations of state and federal civil rights laws. This will involve interviewing parties and witnesses, collecting and reviewing relevant documents, mediating claims, and conducting site visits as necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough investigations into complaints of discrimination and harassment
  • Interviewing parties and witnesses, gathering evidence, and documenting findings
  • Preparing written reports summarizing and analyzing evidence collected during investigations
  • Maintaining case information in databases and communicating effectively with stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A working knowledge of state and federal civil rights laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse and challenging caseload, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure
  • Four years or more of investigatory experience, preferably in law enforcement
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
