Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Technician to join our team at Select Medical. As a Health Information Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate electronic records, processing and completing physician records, and ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate electronic records to meet licensure and certification requirements
  • Record processing and physician record completion
  • Scanning and filing transcribed reports and other documentation
  • Document and data storage and retrieval
  • Release of confidential information (ROI)
  • Maintaining confidential medical records
  • Record review and data collection
  • Communicate with hospital administrative staff, nurses, physicians, and hospital leadership
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience working in the healthcare industry
  • At least one year working in a customer service related field
  • Detail oriented
  • Resourceful problem solver
  • Ability to be professionally assertive
