Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Select Medical. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that medical staff and allied health staff members maintain current credentials and licenses to work legally in their field or specialty.
The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or higher and 1-2 years of experience working in a hospital setting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, is required. The successful candidate will also have acute attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for:
- Ensuring medical staff and allied health staff members maintain current credentials and licenses
- Monitoring upcoming renewal dates and advising medical staff on required steps to maintain their credentials
- Processing initial and reappointment applications
- Tracking expirables
- Auditing applications
- Scanning applications
- Data entry and database management
- Understanding regulatory standards
