Assembler (Plant 3) - Ditch Witch

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Ditch Witch. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing mechanical work, building machinery, and working with various hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production records to understand assembly requirements.
- Fabricate and assemble machinery components using vises, clamps, and other tools.
- Operate equipment to move and check machinery functions, observing and evaluating equipment performance.
- Use a computer to check part locations, inventory, and routing, and record information electronically.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 0-18 months of directly related experience required, including mechanical assembly or repair experience.
- Appropriate basic mechanical skills and aptitude, including using mechanic's tools.
- Demonstrate reading, clerical, and basic math skills, including understanding written instructions and maintaining production records.
Manufacturing plant conditions, with variable temperature, humidity, noise, and dirt. Physical hazards include powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, compressed air power supplies, and materials handling.
Essential Physical Functions- Regularly handle items weighing up to 40 pounds from floor to knuckle.
- Regularly pull or push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 35 pounds from knuckle to shoulder.
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 25 pounds from shoulder to overhead.
