We are seeking a qualified Hospital Pharmacist to join our esteemed healthcare team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within the hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate all medication orders received from medical staff.
- Dispense medications while confirming the appropriateness of drug, dosage, frequency, and administration route.
- Assess patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and laboratory results for potential clinical conflicts before dispensing.
- Manage inventory control effectively.
- Provide drug information support to other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise pharmacy students and technicians in medication preparation to guarantee accuracy and safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning and continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Pharmacist with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy, active and in good standing.
- At least one year of recent experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is required.
- Availability for full-time work is essential.
- BLS certification is preferred.
