Job Summary

CARTI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our clinics.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide quality customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by being attentive to their needs and providing one-on-one attention to detail.
  2. Respond promptly to calls for housekeeping issues and resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Contribute to team efforts by working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
  4. Clean and maintain all areas of the clinic, including offices, bathrooms, lavatories, halls, food service areas, patient service areas, and any other areas that require attention.
  5. Dispose of trash and recyclables according to prescribed guidelines and regulations.
  6. Replenish paper and plastic products as needed.
  7. Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as required.
  8. Realign furniture and amenities to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  9. Operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners and other cleaning devices.
  10. Maintain equipment and wear protective clothing as required by the work environment or safety regulations.
  11. May train new employees in cleaning and maintenance procedures.
  12. Communicate daily with CARTI staff on cleaning and scheduling.
  13. Complete daily task sheets and reports as required.
  14. Respond to guest queries and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  2. Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Working Conditions

This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases. CARTI provides vaccinations and safety training to all employees to ensure a safe work environment.

Physical Demands
  1. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  3. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  4. This position also may require frequent pushing and pulling of heavy objects and the ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
  5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
