CARTI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our clinics.
Responsibilities- Provide quality customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by being attentive to their needs and providing one-on-one attention to detail.
- Respond promptly to calls for housekeeping issues and resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute to team efforts by working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Clean and maintain all areas of the clinic, including offices, bathrooms, lavatories, halls, food service areas, patient service areas, and any other areas that require attention.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables according to prescribed guidelines and regulations.
- Replenish paper and plastic products as needed.
- Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners and other cleaning devices.
- Maintain equipment and wear protective clothing as required by the work environment or safety regulations.
- May train new employees in cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- Communicate daily with CARTI staff on cleaning and scheduling.
- Complete daily task sheets and reports as required.
- Respond to guest queries and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases. CARTI provides vaccinations and safety training to all employees to ensure a safe work environment.
Physical Demands- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- This position also may require frequent pushing and pulling of heavy objects and the ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
