Grant Development Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Grant Development Manager to enhance our institution's mission and strategic objectives through effective grant acquisition. As the primary grant writer, you will collaborate with faculty and staff to convert innovative concepts into compelling proposals that align with funders' expectations and criteria.

  • Proactively engage with Sponsored Programs personnel and institutional stakeholders as necessary
  • Establish timelines, gather relevant data, compose, and refine proposals in accordance with funding opportunity specifications
  • Oversee the development of potential grants and evaluate new funding prospects for their impact and return on investment
  • Work alongside internal grant writing teams to guarantee timely and comprehensive submissions
  • Participate in professional development initiatives to remain informed about grant trends and best practices
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the lead grant writer for designated projects
  • Assist in transforming innovative ideas into competitive proposals
  • Manage strategic grant initiatives to align with funding priorities
  • Contribute to outreach efforts and grant development training within the office
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in grant writing, research, data analysis, and project management
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in the higher education sector
