Position Summary
The role involves the manufacturing and assembly of windows and door walls, with responsibilities spanning across various departments such as Shipping & Receiving, Frames, Sashes, and Doorwall/Casements. Flexibility in task assignments is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and manufacture windows or door walls.
- Operate machinery and tools integral to the window production process.
- Engage in repetitive physical activities including grasping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace and surrounding areas.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while meeting production standards.
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred, along with fundamental math and computer skills; familiarity with measuring tools is advantageous, though training will be provided.
Work Environment
- Work is conducted indoors with varying temperatures reflective of seasonal changes, including heat, cold, humidity, and dust; exposure to high noise levels from machinery is common, and personal protective equipment is mandatory.
- Standard shifts typically run Monday through Friday, with hours subject to change based on operational needs. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift (averaging 8 to 10 hours daily).
- Frequent fine motor skills including grasping and squeezing.
- Ability to lift and move products regularly, with weights exceeding 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs or more.
- Regular bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling required.
