Machinist CNC Setup Operator

· 1st Shift: Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled CNC Set Up Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating CNC machines, particularly within the semiconductor industry. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and precise production of components that meet our customer’s exact specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBLIITIES
· Set up CNC machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
· Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials.
· Adjust machine settings to the desired product specifications.
· Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.
· Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components with tight tolerances.
· Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
· Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
· Troubleshoot issues with machines and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
· Minimizes waste in materials, manpower, equipment, and other resources.
· Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferred.
· Proven experience as a CNC Set Up Machinist, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
· Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings.
· Strong understanding of CNC programming languages, such as G-code.
· Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Inputting critical part information in the STMW ERP system.
· Continuous improvement and process development.
· Perform in the fast-paced environment of a rapidly growing business.
· Work in a multi-disciplinary, team-oriented environment.
· Apply a get-it-done, and get-it-done-right mindset coupled with attention to detail.
· Apply proactive and reactive problem-solving skills.
· Quickly understand new technology areas and manage and adapt to rapidly changing customer needs.
· Ability to follow precise directions and work independently while sticking to deadlines.

· Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
· Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
· Must have knowledge of Mastercam/Solidworks.
· Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.
