About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu
  • Accurately and timely document patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
  • Participate in patient rounds and teams, and complete patient care assignments
  • Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques
  • Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse and follow established Nursing policies, procedures, and protocols
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting
  • Licensure: N/A
  • Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others
