Mass General Brigham is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mental Health team at McLean Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Mental Health unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and promote patient recovery.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Participate in therapeutic milieu, including patient rounds, group therapy, and individual counseling.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient safety and well-being, identifying and reporting any concerns or issues.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting, preferably in a mental health unit.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
