Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Wexford Health Sources, Inc. as a Behavioral Health Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric services to patients in a correctional facility, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Develop and implement behavioral health programs and services to meet the needs of patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services
  • Ensure compliance with ACA/NCCHC standards and correctional system regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and community resources to promote continuity of care
Requirements
  • Current IL State Medical license required
  • Current IL Controlled Substance license required
  • Current DEA required
  • Board Certification - American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology required
  • CPR certification required
Preferred Experience

3 years experience in an institutional healthcare setting preferred. Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
