Role Summary:
The IT Project Senior Manager achieves outcomes through the oversight of projects that align with the goals and key results of the Workforce Strategy. This role establishes and maintains standards that guide operational processes, necessitating a profound understanding of how various areas integrate within the function and contribute to the overarching objectives of the organization. Strong communication and diplomatic skills are essential for guiding, influencing, and persuading colleagues and stakeholders. The individual is accountable for planning, building consensus, and executing Workforce Strategy initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive plans, timelines, project estimates, resource allocations, and progress reports.
- Engage with senior project personnel and management teams regarding project statuses.
- Recommend and supervise enhancements to processes.
- Exert significant business impact through thorough evaluation of intricate business and system processes.
- Provide expertise in the field and possess an advanced understanding of project leadership principles.
- Maintain a holistic understanding of how individual areas and others (such as Business Execution, HR, Talent & Development) collectively contribute to achieving business goals.
- Directly influence business outcomes by shaping strategic functional decisions through advice and services.
- Deliver in-depth and sophisticated analyses, employing interpretive thinking to identify issues and devise innovative solutions.
- Persuade and influence stakeholders through effective communication and diplomacy.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in a relevant technology or project/program role.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, particularly with senior management.
- Proven capability to manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Strong skills in influencing and negotiating.
- Knowledge of Financial Services or Banking Technology is preferred.
- Experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, and Tableau is advantageous.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
