  • Adhere to seating guidelines to ensure equitable distribution among servers

  • Assist with take-out orders
  • Monitor dining areas for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests
  • Assist servers when needed
  • Thank every guest upon departure and invite them to return
  • Manage reservations using Open Table, Resy, and other reservations platforms
  • Successfully adhere to Emmy's Steps of Service
  • Working knowledge of menu and beverage offerings
  • Ability to communicate guest requests to culinary staff
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Help maintain a clean and presentable work environment
  • Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor during service
  • Be safety-conscious to promote the safety of oneself, co-workers, and guests
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Prior host or front-of-house experience in a high-volume restaurant operation
  • Prior related experience requiring excellent customer service, cash handling, service recovery, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing the needs of guests
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers throughout the restaurant
  • Possess a passion for hospitality and a love of the food and beverage industry
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 lbs
