Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a non-acute care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct health screenings, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote health education, disease prevention, and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
  • Current certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if required by department)
