Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a non-acute care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and advocacy to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and perform procedures as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and professional development activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current Texas State Licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
