Job Title: Senior Patient Access Specialist

Ensemble Health Partners is a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Patient Access Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Patient Access Specialist is responsible for performing admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital. This includes assigning accurate MRNs, completing medical necessity / compliance checks, providing proper patient instructions, collecting insurance information, receiving and processing physician orders, and utilizing a overlay tool while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity / compliance checks
  • Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information
  • Receive and process physician orders and utilize a overlay tool
  • Provide excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, out-going and inter-office calls as applicable
  • Conduct audits of accounts and assure that all forms are completed accurate, timely to meet audit standards
  • Provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to patient visits
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to the patient/guarantor/legal guardian, obtain necessary signatures and witnesses name
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and appropriately select the applicable insurance plan code
Requirements:
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) and or CRCR, Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
  • 2 Year/ Associates Degree in Healthcare administration, business administration, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in patient access or leadership role
