Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and overseeing nursing care, services, and health education for residents.

  • Supervise the care provided by LPNs, CNAs/STNAs, and other team members.
  • Administer safe and precise medication-related interventions.
  • Evaluate residents' health and promptly inform physicians of any changes; implement new orders as necessary.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on assessments and implement nursing interventions.
  • Select and apply appropriate nursing actions to stabilize residents' conditions and prevent complications.
  • Contribute to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and care plan development.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant state.
  • CPR certification.
