In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site installation and support services to both governmental and commercial clients. Your primary focus will be on the installation and enhancement of advanced data storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct on-site installations and upgrades of hardware ranging from 1U to 4U.
- Perform both on-site and remote software configurations and updates.
- Document any technical issues and outline next steps for resolution, ensuring clear communication with customer and account teams.
- Facilitate on-site demonstrations to educate end-users on their new systems.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of motivation.
- Travel frequently to various customer locations and data centers across the United States.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with server hardware components.
- Experience in the IT sector.
- Willingness to travel regularly for job assignments.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current or former military experience.
- Experience collaborating with government entities.
- Background as a System Administrator or System Engineer.
- Experience as a Storage Administrator or Storage Engineer.
- Knowledge of data center operations or smart hands services.
- Linux Administration certification.
- Possession of U.S. Government security clearance.
