TotalMed Allied is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in Washington, D.C. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the treatment of cancer patients, utilizing advanced technology to deliver precise and effective radiation therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy to patients with cancer, ensuring accurate dosages and treatment plans
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
- Monitor patients' responses to treatment, adjusting plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and answering questions about treatment and recovery
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Radiation Therapist in the state of Washington, D.C.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in radiation therapy, preferably in a travel or per diem setting
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles, techniques, and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
