The N114 Resilient Warfighter Space Services Department is dedicated to ensuring robust space-based capabilities that support effective joint warfighting across all domains. Our diverse portfolio emphasizes resilient Satellite Communications (SatCom) and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), contributing to the effectiveness of joint warfighters.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Group Leader to oversee the Systems Acquisition Group, which primarily supports Space Systems Command MilComm & PNT programs. This role involves supervising staff, fostering their development, and collaborating with department and division leadership to promote excellence and advance the Air and Space Force Center strategy, particularly in enhancing diversity and inclusion. While management responsibilities will occupy approximately 12% of the role, the successful candidate will dedicate the majority of their time to technical contributions on various projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance (TS) with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven technical expertise in systems engineering within areas such as satellite communications, space data transport, and operational assessments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the division's work and the ability to connect across various programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to mentoring staff in a management capacity.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Aerospace, or a related STEM field, with relevant experience.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with GPS program records and familiarity with Control, Space, and User Equipment.
  • Knowledge of United States Space Force (USSF) mission systems and acquisition processes.

Compensation:

Salary range: $138,500 - $173,000 - $207,500 annually.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work location.
