Key Responsibilities of the Service Porter:
- As the initial point of contact for customers in the Service Department, the Service Porter must exhibit professionalism, responsibility, and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Prior experience in valet or porter roles is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service abilities are essential.
- Capable of performing basic meet-and-greet functions and assisting customers with various inquiries.
- Must represent the dealership with professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to identify and refer customers to the appropriate personnel for assistance with their concerns.
- Physical capability to walk, bend, squat, kneel, and stand in various locations throughout the dealership to support customer needs.
- Responsible for transporting customer vehicles to and from service bays to aid technicians.
- Maintain cleanliness in the service area and manage waste disposal as necessary.
- Availability to work service hours, including some weekends, within a 40-hour work week.
- Must adhere to the dealership's dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
- Eligibility to pass background checks, drug screenings, and maintain a clean driving record is required.
