Job Title: Per Diem Ultrasound TechnologistDepartment: Imaging
Essential Job Functions:- Provide comprehensive care to patients requiring ultrasound services in a systematic and organized manner, adhering to departmental policy and standards.
- Follow appropriate protocol for ultrasound studies, unless specified differently by the Radiologist.
- Assume accountability for managing delivery of care and patient safety.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Obtain and document patient history and pertinent information.
- Communicate with attending Radiologist and verify provider orders.
- Ensure exam room cleanliness after each procedure, adhering to infection control standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge and compliance of safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other job duties as required.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- 1-3 years' experience required.
- ARDMS certification is required.
- BLS certification is required.
- Graduated from an accredited Sonography program.
- The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required.
- Advanced computer skills, including email, Microsoft applications, and the ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System, RIS, and PACS Systems.
