TEAM, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to social services, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Energy Assistant.

Position Summary

This full-time role involves providing essential intake, assessment, and case management services for individuals and families in need of energy assistance. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting the administration of the energy assistance program in compliance with relevant regulations and grant requirements.
  2. Facilitating the client intake process by gathering necessary information, including income documentation, and entering data into the system.
  3. Determining client eligibility for energy assistance and communicating the results effectively.
  4. Managing the authorization and processing of client and vendor bills, ensuring accurate reconciliation with the financial department.
  5. Conducting outreach efforts to assist homebound clients.
  6. Addressing inquiries from clients and vendors regarding the energy assistance program.
  7. Assisting in crisis situations, such as utility shut-offs, and serving as a liaison between clients and utility providers.
  8. Performing Assurance 16 activities, including MPP and vendor mediation.
  9. Carrying out general office tasks, including filing and handling phone communications.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in energy assistance or a related field. Experience in human services is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate strong computer proficiency, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail.
